The recommends should probably be on the snapd package, as the client doesn't know that Polkit is in use / directly interact with it.

Installing a snap requires logging in to the snap store? The login dialog does not let me log in with my launchpad details, it shows: https://quad.pe/e/fG5ZLaxMiL.png GDBus.Error:org.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._snapd_2derror_2dquark.Code9: Permission denied by Polkit The log (attached) doesn't seem to have any other details. It doesn't seem to be trying to validate the credentials; anything will give the same error. I don't have much Gnome stuff installed; I'm running i3wm without any gnome-session or anything running, but I haven't intentionally crippled or disabled any Gnome stuff either; it's only absent if it's absent.
