Public bug reported:

I consistently get screen corruption after a suspend in the wake-up
screen (the one with the arrows you drag) and login screen.

Sometimes I have trouble dragging the wake-up screen to get the login
screen. Sometimes I am able to get the login screen (although all text
is corrupted) and login back into my session.

After login screen corruption is inconsistent, at times the whole
session is corrupted (see attachment), sometimes only text is corrupted
(icons, desktop is okay) and sometimes there is no corruption.

One workaround that seems to avoid the situation is to disable all
automatic suspend options in the power settings.

Note that I have recently upgraded from 16.04 LTS to 18.04 LTS Beta
(1?).
