  Running breaks gnome-shell monitor configurations and vice-versa

Status in unity-settings-daemon package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Mutter introduced a new format of monitors.xml (version 2), unity
  (-settings-daemon) still relies on the old format, so we need to
  separate the two files and migrate them if needed.
