I can't reproduce this issue on Files 3.26.3-0ubuntu4 on Ubuntu 18.04,
assuming fixed.

Bug description:
  How to reproduce:
  Type some letters in a direcory, so that more than one file must match your 
search pattern. In earlier version nautilus allowed to scroll through all 
matching results with the mouse wheel, which was a very comfortable feature. 
But it's not working anymore.
