Title:
  Remove old vte package from Ubuntu

Status in rasmol package in Ubuntu:

Status in vte package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  NOTE
  ====
  Debian's debian-installer (specifically cdebconf-gtk-terminal I believe) uses
a udeb from the old vte package. See https://bugs.debian.org/887649

  Original Bug Report
  ===================
  The old vte source hasn't been maintained upstream since 2011 (when GNOME 3
was released). vte will be dropped from Debian Testing soon. We should not ship
it in Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. The replacement is provided by source vte2.91 (which
requires gtk3).

  sjterm was already requested for removal in LP: #1728241

  $ reverse-depends src:vte
  Reverse-Depends
  ===============
  * gnome-genius                  (for libvte9)
  * pypar2                        (for python-vte)
  * rasmol [amd64 arm64 armhf i386 s390x]  (for libvte9)
  * stjerm                        (for libvte9)
