Title:
session restore does not work
Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I work on Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS 64-bit and my Firefox is 29.0, my machine
runs dualboot with Windows 7 32-bit.
Description:
I work normally with multiple tabs opened.
1. After closing, all I get is new session. This is not expected, because
Firefox is set to restoring previous session - "show my windows and tabs from
last time" is on. Moreover, I get the about:startpage without the "Restore
session" button. Without any quick buttons whatsoever as a matter of fact.
2. "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" does not work neither: I get no
warning as well at closing with the X button as when using options: exit button.
3. The history is remembered very unorderly: some pages get remembered and
some do not, I cannot outline any specific pattern for remembering the session
tabs. For example, the last time I closed Firefox none of the opened tabs were
remembered, just the tabs that I closed one by one before closing Firefox got
remembered. But this is not a rule neither.
4. This problem appeared unexpectedly: no changes have been applied to the
system nor to the Firefox prior to its occurence.
5. Other problem, supposedly somehow connected to the abovementioned, is that
AdBlock does not work. It simply does not block any adds. I suspect the
problems are connected as they both appeared at the very same moment.
6. Other problem, not necessarily connected but maybe informative, is that
search field does not respond: nothing happens after clicking the search icon
or hitting enter.
