Hello gf
I no longer have this issue in 16.04. But instead of creating a file it create
a .desktop file that points to the actual imap address for the email. This is
fairly useless.

cat 'fetch>UID>.INBOX>51577.desktop'
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=Henvisning til fetch>UID>.INBOX>51577
Type=Link
URL=imap://some%40email%2eaddr...@imap.server.tld:993/fetch%3EUID%3E.INBOX%3E51577
Icon=text-html
