You have been subscribed to a public bug: I did a clean install of Ubuntu 11.10. I have onboard sound (some kind of intel one). Anyway, in the sound settings, it is missing an absolute ton of options that are available via alsamixer. For example, in alsamixer I can disabled "auto-mute" (mutes the rear output when you plug headphones into the front panel), but in the sound settings GUI there is no such option.
Such a shame that we are still forced to do simple things like changing the sound settings on the command line in 2011. ** Affects: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bot-comment -- Sound settings missing many many options. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/899638 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
