Hello Fuad,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird.

You made this bug report in 2013 and there have been several versions of
Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
Or, if it is still a problem, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect BUGNUMBER

and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for
this particular issue.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu and Thunderbird better.

Title:
Address book looses contacts at reopening application

Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
After upgrading to Thunderbird 17.0.3 (using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32-bit
) I add a new entry to my shared address book, it shows up and appears
to be fine, but when I shut down my PC and restart, they are all gone.
This is only happening for new recent entries as all of my other
contacts are still there. Anyone have any idea what is causing this or
  what is going on?
