Title:
cupsd taking 100% cpu after unsucessful network printer search

Status in cups package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:

I tried to search for a new printer and the system-config-printer hang
forever. I closed it
(the system asked me to "force quit" or "wait", I had to "force quit").

After some hours I noticed that cupsd is taking 100% of one of my
  cpus.

Also the tray icon disapeared, but I'm not sure if this has something to do
with it (it
no longer appears when I print something). And I can print normaly, on the
other
  side.

This is a desktop and server, so I did not reboot it very often.
