  side bar disappears on some websites

Bug description:
  on some webites the right side bar with the gab/scroll bar disappears and 
cannot be found by re-sizing the window, restarting firefox or refreshing the 
tab.
  The bottom scroll bar also disappears so that it's not possible to scroll 
right to make it visible.
  Tabs and scroll arrows do not always work, sometime up/down but not right/left
  Sites that have this problem include launchpad.net, googlemail.co.uk, 
facebook.com, greyville.com
  Sites that do not have this problem include bikepimp.co.uk, 
rutlandcycling.com, jejamescycles.co.uk, chainreactioncycles.com
