Thank you for your bug report. What "sound theme selector" are you talking about? Is that the "sound effect" list? That includes file names and not only theme. But yeah, there are some issues in there, unsure if Yaru should be listed but at least selecting default should go back to the correct soundfile

"Yaru" should also be listed as an entry. What happened instead: If the sound scheme has already been changed, the "default" setting sets /org/gnome/desktop/sound/theme-name to "freedesktop" instead of the default "Yaru". I had to reset the sound effect by using the "Use default value" toggle in dconf-editor. Interestingly, if the sound scheme is already set to "Yaru", selecting the "default" option in the sound effects tab keeps the scheme set to "Yaru". Furthermore, "Yaru" is not listed as an entry in this tab at all.
