Saw this crash for the first time. I'm on Ubuntu 18.10. Every time I ask gnome-software to check for updates, the number of open files (watch 'ls /proc/$(pidof gnome- software)/fd') grows by 25, then drops a bit and settles down to 7 higher than it was before.
I'm attaching two snapshots of ls -l /proc/$(pidof gnome-software)/fd, before I triggered an update check, and after it told me there were no updates available. ** Attachment added: "before-update.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1648534/+attachment/5220140/+files/before-update.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1648534 Title: gnome-software crashed with SIGTRAP in g_wakeup_new from g_main_context_new from g_dbus_connection_send_message_with_reply_sync from g_dbus_connection_call_sync_internal from g_dbus_connection_call_sync Status in gnome-software package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in gnome-software source package in Xenial: Confirmed Bug description: The Ubuntu Error Tracker has been receiving reports about a problem regarding gnome-software.
