Steps to reproduce: 1. start gnome-terminal 2. execute "emacs -nw" to start emacs in terminal mode 3. type "Ctrl-." (Control-Period) Expected behavior: 1. Emacs receives "Ctrl-." 2. "C-. is undefined" will be displayed in the status bar along the bottom of the terminal. (Assuming the tester has not bound this key.) Actual behavior: 1. Emacs receives "." 2. Emacs inserts a period into the text buffer. Other notes: 1. xterm correctly passes "Ctrl-." through to Emacs. 2.
