I don't know if this should/would include the commands you type it, but maybe there could be a separate option for the wrapping of that. There are other Terminals which support this, and I think it would be really nice if gnome-terminal would too so that one doesn't have to put all of the output into another program like 'less' or similar in order to disable the wrapping. I am running Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 with GNOME 3.20 and would find this a very useful feature.
