when pressing the menu item as well as when pressing
<kbd>Ctrl</kbd>+<kbd>t</kbd>. `dmesg` logs
[ 1873.321907] gnome-terminal[7196]: segfault at 7f929c0cd858 ip
00007f92992d160a sp 00007fffe4f176f8 error 4 in
libc-2.19.so[7f9299248000+1ba000]
which should be expandable with the attached debug information.
