Cant connect to server SSH after failed connection to Windows Server

Bug description:
When using Nautilus to "Connect to Server" I mistakingly selected
windows share instead of SSH. Trying to connect to this non existant
windows share with credentials failed (with please verify your user
detaisl) as can be expected since there isnt a windows share at this
specific host I was using. I then changed the type to ssh and then
clicked connect without changing the credentials. This failed with
Failed to recieve share list from server. I then close down the
connect to window and start it up again. This time ensuring ssh is
selected and enter the same credentials and it works fine.
I have repeated this behaviour, it only seems to happen when a failed
connect to windows then ssh. For example if I try an connect via ftp
(no ftp running on remote host) it fails, i change the drop down to
ssh and click connect and it works as expected and connects up fine.
