** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1813663 External monitors does not work anymore 4.15.0-44 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1813896 Title: Monitors stopped working Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I have a Dell Latitude E7470 laptop with a docking station and two external monitors. I made a system update yesterday (without restart), and I tried to work today. When the laptop lid is laid off, all displays are black and stays that way. When it's open, it works fine. If I lock the computer, the displays are going black again. Also, I cannot restart the system, it just hangs. The only solution is to switch off the system is holding the power button, then booting up again, with the laptop screen open. My other colleagues with similar configurations have the same issues.
