Start firefox 9.0.1 with the default persona, and theme. If you have any custom settings for your Ubuntu desktop, don't bother trying to reproduce this bug. Just start with a fresh Ubuntu Oneiric install. Open any webpage that contains links. Hit the Tab key slowly multiple times to make a small url popup appear near the south-east corner of the browser window, showing the contents of the currently highlighted url. The text in the url popup is dark grey on a black background. Who on earth chose that scheme? It's completely illegible without using a microscope and an image contrast enhancement tool. This does not meet even minimum usability and accessibility requirements. It's hard to believe this is not from the bad old days of firefox version 1. Shouldn't firefox ui designers be on tigher leashes by now? Just one more step on the road to putting people off firefox and ubuntu. Seriously, can this be fixed asap please?
