This bug report was raised against the old interface so is no longer
valid. The new interface includes features that avoid wasting screen
space so I'm marking this as being fixed.

Bug description:
Totem UI should avoid wasting space in small screens. I suggest
merging the time bar with the control buttons !!! See the screenshot
attached
