The first part looks like this: gnome-shell[2872]: g_environ_setenv: assertion 'value != NULL' failed /usr/lib/gdm3/gdm-x-session[2251]: (II) modeset(0): EDID vendor "NEC", prod id 26342 ... STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. tail -f /var/log/syslog #in a terminal 2. In the upper-right top of the screen: Speakericon->Bluetoothicon->Gluetooth settings RESULTS: BT settings window openens, and many messages logged to syslog EXPECTED RESULTS: No assertion errors logged (unclear why anything should be logged due to simply opening a window).
