Assuming that the change doesn't make it worse for you somehow, and if @CoderGuy or someone else verifies it for 18.04, it will still be considered verified. Better improve it for some users than not at all. I have no idea what needs to be done to make the bar disappear from your scans too. I simply applied an upstream commit which other users pointed at. Version 1.0.28 has been released upstream, and it's being worked on to package it for Debian/Ubuntu. Possibly it will include something that fixes it also for you.
