Public bug reported: Hi,
In my company we have Ubuntu computer who user are login by Active Directory (with samba4) We use sssd to make the connection. My sssd configuration file: [sssd] services = nss, pam, autofs config_file_version = 2 domains = DOMAINE [domain/DOMAINE] id_provider = ad access_provider = ad override_homedir = /home/%u default_shell = /bin/bash cache_credentials = True krb5_store_password_if_offline = True ad_gpo_access_control = permissive krb5_ccname_template=FILE:%d/krb5cc_%U ldap_id_mapping = True use_fully_qualified_names = False fallback_homedir = /home/%u simple_allow_users = $ Everything was working fine until a minor upgrade (2.2.7-1ubuntu2.7 it was working well on 2.2.7-1ubuntu2.3). We use wine to run a windows software, but you can use the notepad as well. When a Active Directory is login, and try to print a PDF, is hown PDF file is not created, and no PDF inside. But if we try with a other software without wine, everything works well. Here the debug information: https://pastebin.com/VjMHBYBh Has you can see we have a line with: "unknown user: unknown" the problem look here. It's look cups don't receive the correct user. As I say before, no problem with local user wher we don't have this line but the good one with the correct username. So why Wine better than other package, because other don't have update until we pass from 2.2.7-1ubuntu2.3 to 2.2.7-1ubuntu2.7. If you have any idea it will be great. Thank's for helping. ** Affects: cups (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: cups cups-pdf samba4 wine ** Tags added: wine ** Tags added: cups cups-pdf samba4 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to cups in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1843055 Title: Wine, Samba4 users, cups-pdf don't print 18.04 Status in cups package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Hi, In my company we have Ubuntu computer who user are login by Active Directory (with samba4) We use sssd to make the connection.
