Title:
[eoan] Wayland session misses non-GNOME apps theming

Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Running GS 3.34 from proposed (or 3.33.92 too), the GNOME or Ubuntu
sessions miss non-GNOME apps theming. I use Adwaita, it runs Yaru (if
installed...) and picks up wrong fonts. Examples of such apps :
  wxMaxima, Thunderbird, Firefox.

Running X session, all is fine. But here too there's something fishy :
when I switch from a Wayland session to a X session, the first login
sees Synaptic tell me that I run a Wayland session and that I cannot
apply changes (etc.). The consecutively second login in a X session
  does not experience this bug.

This behaviour began with 3.33.92 updates of gdm, gnome-session and
gnome-settings-daemon some days ago. Upstream GNOME bugs tells me to
  report in Ubuntu bugs.
