Public bug reported: Distro: 10.04.3 LTS eog: Installed: 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
Steps to reproduce:- Open image file from a partition other than the one on which ~ exists, in eog Delete image (e.g. via DEL key), and confirm action. Actual behaviour:- Message saying "Couldn't access Deleted Items folder" Expected behaviour:- File deleted (or moved to wastebasket) Please note, this is NOT A DUPLICATE. A similar issue was reported here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eog/+bug/42571 This issue is closed as fixed. It was re-opened, because a problem clearly still exists, but subsequently closed again with the justification that any similar problem is in fact "A DIFFERENT ONE" (as in "not a duplicate"): https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eog/+bug/42571/comments/10 To emphasise, the original bug is marked as fixed, and the maintainers insist that we now have a new bug which behaves in exactly the same way. If you close this ticket as a duplicate, the issue will not get fixed. The problem I describe above is real, and exists. Thank you! ** Affects: eog (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to eog in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/908409 Title: eog cannot delete files outside of the home partition Status in “eog” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Distro: 10.04.3 LTS eog: Installed: 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Steps to reproduce:- Open image file from a partition other than the one on which ~ exists, in eog Delete image (e.g. via DEL key), and confirm action.
