Well, despite me having explicitly selected the headset as the output device, on every reboot it falls back to the HDMI device. The headset is always plugged in. I believe this is a regression. On Ubuntu 19.04 and previous versions, it respected my preferences about the sound device. It is reproducible on both Xorg and Wayland sessions.
