For someone who's collapsed the "Places" menu like me but still using Nautilus for browsing folders, it would be handy to be able to use the terminal to make a connection or maybe _many_ connections at once! It seems like a simplistic way of expanding the functionality of the application without sacrificing its simplicity for the GUI-user.
