Title:
[To be filled by O.E.M., Realtek ALC892, Pink Mic, Rear] Underruns,
  dropouts or crackling sound

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
All sound recorded through the integrated soundcard microphone port
crackles somewhat and has extra background noise. Recording from a
USB-webcam microphone produces clear sound. I've installed the alsa
dkms but this did not help, neither did switching position reporting.
