Title:
[HDA-Intel - HDA NVidia, playback] No sound at all

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Cannot capture online streaming audio (NVIDIA graphics cards v173)
after upgrading to 11.10 64X from 32X. The card seems to be working
fine in other respects. I had been listening to audiobooks on line but
can't sunce the upgrade. In my searcj for remedies I have seen some
others refering to the same problem but have not founf any solutions.

  "patrick@patrick-HP-Pavilion-dv6700-Notebook-PC:~$ 'apt-cache policy pkgname'
apt-cache policy pkgname: command not found"

I'm not sure if this is a bug. I'm new to Ubuntu and am a little lost.
  Just looking for direction.
