Title:
  mute icon highlighted wrong on Lenovo Z560

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Lenovo z560 has a external toolbar for mute/display light level/fan speed 
level
  and power level

  If you click on the mute "button" you switch mute on/off and this is working
  fine the problem is that mute is highlighted when mute is off (sount level >
  0%) and mute is not highlighted when mute is on (sound level 0%)

  in Windows 7

  mute on -> icon is highlighted
  mute off -> icon is not highlighted

  Reproducible: Always

  Steps to Reproduce:
  1. start system 
  2. mute off
  3. mute on
  Actual Results:  
  mute on -> icon not highlighted
  mute off -> icon highlighted

  Expected Results:  
  mute on -> icon highlighted
  mute off -> icon not highlighted
