Only members of Bug Control and the original reporter can revert your
change. I've asked elsewhere for that change to be reverted although a

Bug description:
  After upgrading to GNOME shell 3.35, the speaker icon in top bar is
  missing and both volume and light sliders are set to 0. Changing
  volume and light from keyboard works, but has no effect in gnome shell
  dropdown.
