Thanks for reporting. I couldn't find "Click or press a key to unlock" among the translatable strings for gdm3, looks like it might be in gnome-shell instead https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/focal/+source/gnome- shell/+pots/gnome-shell/fr/453/+translate. The good news is that has been recently translated. I am not sure how often they are updated, but I believe this should make it into a new language pack version before release of 20.04. (Judging by the release schedule https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FocalFossa/ReleaseSchedule the deadline for language packs is April 16th, but I would expect to see it in an update sooner)
