** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Expired -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to alsa-driver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/820282 Title: [HDA-Intel - HDA NVidia, playback] Playback problem Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: If I boot my machine a sound is played when the login window occurs (drums), but after logging in no sound is played at all. I am not sure if this is a alsa or pulseaudio problem. Neither over the test app (system->Einstellungen->Klang / System->Settings->Sound) nor over banshee and mplayer (both mp3, mpeg) sound is played. I also checked alsamixer as suggested in another bug report, but unfortunately without effect. I guess it must be a user specific setting which was probably changes during the last ubuntu update. juergen@media:~/Music$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 11.04 Release: 11.04 apt-cache policy pulseaudio pulseaudio: Installiert: 1:0.9.22+stable-queue-24-g67d18-0ubuntu3.1 Kandidat: 1:0.9.22+stable-queue-24-g67d18-0ubuntu3.1 Versionstabelle: *** 1:0.9.22+stable-queue-24-g67d18-0ubuntu3.1 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:0.9.22+stable-queue-24-g67d18-0ubuntu3 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main amd64 Packages apt-cache policy alsaplayer-common alsaplayer-common: Installiert: (keine) Kandidat: 0.99.80-5build1 Versionstabelle: 0.99.80-5build1 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/universe amd64 Packages ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: alsa-base 1.0.24+dfsg-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-10.46-generic 2.6.38.7 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-10-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.23.
