a kernel issue. Not the mutter issue I was thinking of.

1. Reproduce the bug.

2. Reboot.

  [nouveau] garbled/frozen screen after waking from sleep mode

  Computer boots and runs normally until it goes into sleep mode. wehen
  trying to wake from sleep mode, screen is filled with what looks like
  frozen static on an old TV, then it locks up. I have to force power-
  off the computer and reboot to make it work again.
