Title:
High RSS useage for gnome-software background process

Status in gnome-software package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I've had an uptime of slightly in excess of 2 days, and the gnome-
software --gapplication-service process is using 700M RSS (3GiB Virt,
  ~50MB SHR).

This seems excessive. I'll try running under heaptrack to see if
  there's any obvious slow leaks.
