In my case I have:

- snap install firefox (with https://github.com/sprig/org-capture-extension)
- snap install emacs --beta
- org-protocol on emacs (attached desktop file)
- ran "xdg-mime default org-protocol.desktop x-scheme-handler/org-protocol"

Using the extension from firefox makes it crash
