This bug's title is fine as this whole bug report is only about Ubuntu. Could you also attach your Xorg.0.log and syslog from /var/log folder to his bug report? Your graphic card seems to be ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3430. Have you installed ati's own driver using the Additional drivers tool? Does logging in to unity 2D desktop work? Thanks in advance.
