Gnome Shell freezes and then shows the window previews of Firefox
twice, one over the over

Bug description:
When I was using CLion, the machine froze for around 5-10 minutes. In
that time, Gnome was frozen and would not even update the time. When
it unfroze, I right clicked on Firefox after trying to close CLion,
and two previews of the opened Firefox windows appeared, one on top of
the other.
Clicking on the X buttons on these previews have a delayed affect as
of 1 minute or more, and when the first preview disappears, then the
second one underneath it may not respond at all.
Please address this issue.
