There is no option to turn this permanently off, only methods to schedule, delay, or to hold refreshing if a metered connection is detected. It is, therefore, important to be able to tell Network Manager, that a connection is metered in order to keep snapd from ruining the user. While I've seen screenshots showing this option in the mainstream ubuntu's desktop settings, I do not see such an option in nm- connection-editor, which is used e.g. by Lubuntu. regards ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.04 Package: network-manager-gnome 1.8.10-2ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.15.0-88.88-generic 4.15.18 Uname: Linux 4.15.0-88-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: zfs zunicode zavl icp zcommon znvpair ApportVersion: 2.20.9-0ubuntu7.11 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: LXDE Date: Fri Mar 6 12:12:05 2020 IfupdownConfig: # ifupdown has been replaced by netplan(5) on this system.
