Title:
No task bar, no applications on gnome shell

Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
I'm not 100% sure this is just gnome-shell but I have to start
somewhere. This is what Ubuntu looks like to the end user after the
OEM setup. No task bar on the left, no applications in the shell
unless you search for them knowing they're there.
