I would put this on hold until further notice. Probably me not
understanding pulse-audio settings correctly. After a lot of fiddling
and wild guess it would work, stop with some other settings, and stop,
when removing the tablet part off the convertible.

Title:
[ThinkPad Helix 2nd] No more sound after upgrade 18.04->20.04

Bug description:
  (title says it in principle:)

Upgraded from 18.04 to 20.04 yesterday. Now my sound is mum. It is
kind of visible, but not as speakers in the tablet part of my
convertible. So when removing the tablet from the dock, there is no
sound. Shouldn't be a hardware problem, since W10 (dual-boot) plays
  musics.

(The files are with dock attached, since the tablet on its own has -
and that's a bug of *buntu - no right click. So the 'USB ....' shown
as audio device is the device in the keyboard dock.)
