Upon installing a new application the list in "show applications" is not
updated and just added at the end (last page). The list is also not
sorted. When first installing Ubuntu 20.10, I could get the list updated
by logging in and out, but after installing about 10 applications that
stopped working.

In "show applications" the applications are not sorted alphabetically and does 
not update when installing new application. New applications are just added at 
the end of the last page.
