Title:
  "Alert Sound" change has no effect at all

Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:

  1) Change "Alert Sound" to , say, Drip. 
  2) open terminal and press "Backspace" to test

  Expected: Hear Drip
  Actual: hear default

  Related to

  but in my case doesn't change to anything else at all even via "Default" 
intermediate. It is always "Default".
