In my system, ubuntu 20. The bug behaves similar. Key works fine in tty
(outside X). In graphical mode what should be less greater, becomes \|

Title:
Key (Code 94) does not work anymore

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Dapper updated today to the latest packages.

On my Thinkpad in Gnome I've chosen "generic 101-key pc" as the
keyboard model and "German Dead acute" as the layout.

Pressing the key next to the left shift key does not give anything.
This key has keycode 94 and is described like this "keycode 94 = less
  greater bar" in xmodmap.de.

  This is what xev reports:

KeyPress event, serial 26, synthetic NO, window 0x3000001,
      root 0x76, subw 0x3000002, time 2985393502, (33,29), root:(38,102),
      state 0x0, keycode 94 (keysym 0x0, NoSymbol), same_screen YES,
      XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
      XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes:
      XFilterEvent returns: False

KeyRelease event, serial 29, synthetic NO, window 0x3000001,
      root 0x76, subw 0x3000002, time 2985393573, (33,29), root:(38,102),
      state 0x0, keycode 94 (keysym 0x0, NoSymbol), same_screen YES,
      XLookupString gives 0 bytes:

It works in a normal TTY though (outside X).
