Title:
Screen flicker, sections going dark, icons and filenames vanishing,
  flickering or looking jumbled up

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Started about 2 weeks ago, tried reinstalling Ubuntu20lts as fix yet issue
persists.
I can't use terminal because whatever I type, after the third letter things
vanish, or become jumbled and impossible to recognise.
Attempted updating intel drivers but wasn't successful, I'm not the best at
this sort of thing.
