Upon upgrade from 20.10 to 21.04 hisurte

When compiling any latex file with package amsmath.sty

LaTeX Error: Command \negmedspace already defined.

This happens with any frontend, for example, lyx or kile.

The package amsmath.sty  has to be loaded. If not, the problem is not
present.
