Ubuntu 16.04 is now "End of Life" so will receive no further
updates. You should either upgrade to or install a supported
release.

Title:
  Sporadic crackling  sound from  headphones

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 16.04 64 bit
  HP Pavilion 15-aw077nr (Touch) Laptop

  Headphones had sporadic crackling sound. More often when volume
  increases over 30%

  Laptop has B&O speakers and headphones worked fine in Win10 before I
  replaced it with Ubuntu.
