Further to comment #2, I'm belatedly closing the Papercuts task.

Title:
LibreOffice Writer: word autocompletion looks like selected text

Status in One Hundred Papercuts:
  Won't Fix
Status in libreoffice package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
Ever since I started used OOo/LibreOffice Writer, one of my favourite
features has been autocompletion... but the looks have always freaked
me out, since it looks just like selected text, so most of the time I
end up inserting spaces or something else just to make it look like
  normal text.

I think it would make a nice little improvement to change the style of
the autocomplete text into something different. Perhaps it would be
better if the suggested text it's grey; something like Google's
suggestions on the search box (http://i.imgur.com/rmMyD.png)
