FWIW ... Until things are resolved between the Firefox/Thunderbird/Mozilla group there is a solution that works just fine. Betterbird is a fork of Thunderbird and is working just fine. https://www.betterbird.eu/index.html I'm just a regular guy who has use Thunderbird for years on the Beta channel and really like it, but little issues continue to add up and be a PIA for the users. I was introduced to Betterbird and very impressed in that the Thunderbird 'bugs' are repaired in Betterbird. I don't care if someone in the TBird group called the fix 'hacky' ... as it is fixed.
