Public bug reported: Previously, vertical scrolling was in place. The benefit was familiarity for people coming from other platforms. The horizontal swipe also is less natural in comparison to up and down for a seek. Using the mouse wheel, you now scroll in the opposite way you see the screen move. Also lost is the ability to use arrow keys.
We read right to left, up to down. This is no longer possible due to further additions above this space. ** Affects: gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: accessibility gnome-shell gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock jammy ubuntu-22.04 ui usability ux -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1956122 Title: Horizontal application menu scrolling and placement ruined usability options and intuitive usage Status in gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Previously, vertical scrolling was in place.
